Actions Speak Louder Than Words, What Are Your Actions Saying?

We live in a world where actions speak louder than words. It's important to consider, what are your actions saying? It's important to know the answer to this question because when your actions don't match what your words are saying, it makes you look like a hypocrite and a liar.

A Hypocrite And A Liar

The last time I checked, the definition of a hypocrite was someone that says one thing but does another. This makes them a liar too.

Television

Television seems to have glorified the lifestyle of a hypocrite and made it an appealing trait to have. Somehow, this has produced a world full of hypocrites that go out, have families, and raise even more hypocrites. Note: I'm not being critical here, just speaking hypothetically; please don't take it out of context and send me hate mail.

Humanity

Somewhere along the line, humanity has been taught that it's okay to lie. We tell our kids about Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny. In school, we learn about legends, which may or may not be true. We justify our actions by saying that it's harmless fun.

Our Kids

It's no wonder that our kids sometimes grow up corrupt and need some moral values. This paints a picture of disaster for generations to come, if it continues.

The System

Some would say that the system needs an over hall. My question is, who is going to stand up to the system and stand up for what is right?

Reality Television

The lesson in Reality Television is, watch out for number one, yourself. Reality television also teaches that it's okay, to lie and back-stab people, as long as you wind up on top in the end. As members of humanity, we justify our actions by saying that it's all harmless fun and entertainment but, subconsciously, it's all being assimilated and taken in as truth.

Television Programming

In this array of television programming, reality television looks like it's here to stay. It seems like when people run out of creative ideas, they go ahead and put reality on television. And, even the so-called reality television isn't really reality because it has to be interesting enough to get people to watch it. And who has a life that's, that interesting, anyway? In the end, it's whatever gets the ratings; that stays on the air.

What We're Teaching Our Kids

We come back to our dilemma of what we're teaching our kids. Let's face reality for a second, here, all you parents out there, how many of you have used television as a babysitter for your kids so that you could go off in a corner or room somewhere and have some me time, to be with your own thoughts for a while? Sometimes it's hard to get me time when you're a parent because it seems like everybody always wants something from you and you spend all your time pleasing other people, forgetting that you have needs to.

Spiritual Beings Having A Human Experience

The fact is that we're all spiritual beings having a human experience. As spiritual beings, we inhabit a body, a physical thing on planet Earth. As human beings, every human being needs some me time to figure out, what they're doing with their life. This is the only way we can figure out if we're going in the right direction or not. And, if we're not going in the right direction, then we change our actions and see where that takes us. This; is called the human experience. We're all spiritual beings having a human experience.

The Solution

The solution that I come up with to the problems pointed out above is to be able to teach teamwork. When people work together and function as a team toward a common goal; that's when magic happens and we wind up changing the world for the better.
