Before the evening falls enjoy a tour on the Pride of the Susquehanna, a river boat. If your idea of fun is kicking back on a pontoon boat, fishing along the river banks, or cruising on jetski's, City Island is the place to be. You can even dock your boat or jet ski at the local bar, Duke's, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and fabulous eats. Relax on the deck overlooking the river, sit at the bar or sit inside where the AC is on! Harrisburg, Pa has got it all!

Once you've dined, relax with some cocktails outside at a table. Most of the restaurants and bars along 2nd street are open for seeting along the sidewalks. This makes for an entertaining atmosphere and memorable experience. If you like Irish Pubs, stop in at Ceoltas or Molly Brannigans, or you can sit outside on the lawn at the Tom Sawyer Diner to enjoy dancing and a local band performance. Scott's Grille offers music inside and a quiet deck outside if you'd like a more intimate setting. Many of the restaurants and bars in downtown Harrisburg, Pa offer live entertainment, plus activities like dancing and kareoke. And if your a wine enthusiast, you should be sure to drop by The Red Door for a glass of merlot. The Red Door's red lights present a romantic mood and setting if your on a date.
Try out The Quarter and its 3 floors of dining, bars and pool tables, for an absolute great time. When the evening sets, you can jump in line for The Hardware Bar to dance your buns off. Pick a floor and a type of music you would like to listen or dance to at the DragonFly night club. This club features four floors, with fours seperate music environments. If you don't like one floor, have your pick of another and enjoy the live bands.
On you way home, grab a cab, but don't leave for home without jumping in line for a fine piece of pizza from one of the local pizza shops open until 3am, or you can grab a hotdog from a vendor for the ride home.
Harrisburg, Pa offers a plethera of nice restaurants and bars for people of all ages to enjoy. A visit to the downtown may be just the night you are looking for. You can plan a weekend stay at the Crown Plaza or Hilton, or you can come down for the day or evening. Whatever you choice, you'll have more fun that you expected and without having to travel to do it.
