Post a Commentone of my favorite cowboys. a gentle giant, he was.
I always loved Dan Blocker(Hoss)
he was a gentle man. I still look at Bonanza every time its on. One of my favorite shows. After Hoss died off the show I still looked at it but it was best with Ben Cartwright and his 3 sons.
My brother-in-law Gene Callender worked in a strip mine in Pennsylvinia, and he told me that Dan Blocker was part owner in the mine near clairon PA. he had met him once at their company picnic. Gene was very proud of this fact.
Wouldn't it be great if the world were filled with Dan Blockers, a humble, gentle giant? May God rest his soul.
I'm glad you enjoyed my article Alban and Shelia even though he was so young when he passed away, he'll continue to live on for fans in his work for years to come.
