Actor, Leslie Nielsen, has passed away from complications from pneumonia. The Canadian native passed away while surrounded by his wife, Barbaree, and friends, according to John Kelly, his agent. The actor passed away on November 28, 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at a nearby hospital.

He and Barbaree Earl Nielsen had been married since 2001. His previous marriages involved Brooks Oliver, Alisande Ullman, and Monica Boyer. Nielsen was also survived by two children, from his second marriage.

In the 1950s the actor arrived fresh faced in Hollywood. Since then he has performed in countless movies, television roles, and on stage.

Leslie William Nielsen was born on February 11, 1926 in Canada. He studied acting in Toronto before moving on to New York where he became largely known for his ability to appear oblivious to everything happening around him.

His comedy career was sheer success in both television and film. Some of his most memorable film roles were in The Naked Gun, Spy Hard, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Mr. Magoo, and Airplane! In television he appeared in shows like The Love Boat, Gunsmoke, Who's The Boss, The Mod Squad, Highway to Heaven, Murder She Wrote, Swiss Family Robinson, Columbo, The Virginian, Rawhide, The Untouchables, and Hawaii Five-O. But his career didn't stop there.

His deadpan comedic delivery ensured his success as an actor. His brand of comedy seemed to never expire and he continued to showcase his comedic chops to audiences who understood his delivery.

Some of his achievements include having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Canada's Walk of Fame, and he was honored by both television and radio artists.

In his final years he performed more serious roles appearing on both screen and stage, in commercials, and in children's shows were he narrated. His career never lost steam and even in his eighties he had an active career.

Prayers go out to his family, and may Leslie Nielsen rest in peace! Thanks for all the smiles and laughs!
