Martin seemed to be extremely relaxed and happy as fans stood by and watched, although the security was strict, especially whenever it came to taking photographs. "Why filmmakers chose this particular Douglasville/Atlanta mall location seems to be unknown?" Fortunately fans had the right to stand behind the executive producer and big-man director (John Whitesell) sitting at their computer video monitors during the off-scene filming.
"Possibly reviewing over the previous screen shots?" The film crew was composed of approx. 40 employees, whom were remarkably kind and considerate dressed in everyday blue jeans and colorful t-shirt clothing wearing long stringed crew tags around their necks.
At the time of this typical May rainy-day Atlanta, Ga. afternoon. Hollywood filmmakers were filming a mall escalator scene showing Martin Lawrence (Malcom Turner/Big Momma) going up the to the second floor of this simple Douglasville, Ga. mall location talking to another skinny man (actor Brandon T.Jackson) character called "Trent".
Both actors were dressed in jeans and simple t-shirts having a seemingly normal and calm conversation without any unusual "hand or facial gestures" which Hollywood hyper actor Martin Lawrence has always been famous for.
In between filming scenes, actors Lawrence and Jackson stood on the first floor beside the escalator talking to the director (John Whitesell), and other actors "possibly discussing their next scene?". This Douglasville Metro-Atlanta shopping mall filming seem to be highly advertised at the time by the lovable Hollywood film crew!
Meaning that most of the crew was wearing t-shirts advertising this new and up-coming 2011 film, and even the film producers seating chairs were beautifully advertised on the back of this third installment of the Big Momma's House franchise movies? simply called "Big Momma's: Like Father, Like Son!"
Hollywood actor Martin Lawrence seemed to take every chance he had possible to talk to the "stand-by fans" in this local 2 floor Douglasville, Ga. shopping mall in between scene filming. He portrayed an image of a caring, drug-free and lovable individual actor.
Which unfortunately most Hollywood actors are complete uncaring snobs regarding their fans. Although, his security was extremely tight, "famous Hollywood actor Lawrence tried his best to talk to his fans at the time and security which was allowed".
This entire lower-level section of the Douglasville Arbor Place mall was completely covered by cameras, long electrical cords, video monitors, expensive computers, huge spot-lights, and gigantic walls of white screens, reflecting the light to one-another. Hollywood photography film directors seemed to be extremely concerned "about the lighting for some strange reason?" Constantly talking to each other with their 2 way radios. "Even these experts would kindly ask you to move out of their way if you were a stand-by curious on-looking fan".
Apparently? The next scene was to take place in the recently closed restaurant in this Arbor Place Douglasville shopping mall in the lower-level front entrance. Where professional filmmakers had enclosed a large temporary black covering surrounding that looked like something out of "Hollywood Space Movie!"
Film crew members were continuously non-stop hand trucking expensive equipment out of small trucks into this closed mall restaurant. Where of course no one except for film staff members were allowed to enter at the time.
This seemed to be a very pleasant day for everyone. Without any problems including the "extremely kind, lovable and considerate" film staff and even the on-looking fans. 45 year old Martin Lawrence looked like he was very happy, drug-free, healthy and proud to be in Atlanta, Ga. on this date and time in history of Hollywood film making.
He seemed to smile and show TRUE concern about what was going on during this entire on-site smooth filming event, especially regarding his loving fans. Although? Nobody seemed to know what these film scenes were all about! "That's Hollywood for You!"
