Jill Clayburgh, Oscar nominated actress passed away yesterday after quietly battling Lukemia over the last two decades. Known for her roles on Broadway, movies and television, most recently roles in Law and Order, and Nip/Tuck. For more information on the life of Jill Clayburgh, please see a great piece written about her in People magazine.

Clayburgh is survived by husband, playwright David Rabe, a son and stepson. Her daughter, actress Lily Rabe, has taken a leave of absence from the soon to open Broadway play Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino to mourn the loss of her mother.
