Lynn Redgrave Was Born into a Showbiz Family
Lynn Redgrave was born March 8, 1943 in London. She was the youngest child of Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson. The Redgrave family was well known in the acting community. Lynn followed in older sister Vanessa's footsteps becoming an actress, though she never quite reached the level of fame of older sister Vanessa.
Georgy Girl
Lynn Redgrave is most known for her title role in the 1960's hit, Georgy Girl. She received an Oscar nomination for the role and for her role in God's & Monsters.
Lynn Redgrave's Career
Redgrave received Tony nominations for her roles in Mrs. Warren's Profession, Shakespeare for My Father and The Constant Wife. Her most recent acting roles include guest appearances on popular television series' Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and Law & Order. Besides her roles in film, stage and television Lynn Redgrave, who admitted to having battled bulimia in her past, was a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
Lynn Redgrave had been battling breast cancer for the last seven years. She will be missed by her many fans around the world.
