Jasinski was formerly in public relations and actually won the overall competition on Big Brother 9. The Reality World just keeps sending us people who aren't quite able to go back to the regular world after dealing with the great amount of publicity and hype that comes with a reality television show. It's almost as if they've left jail and can't adapt to the real world. Is there a reality television jail being built to house our future reality felons?
Adam Jasinski's story is one that we probably wish we didn't have to hear. The final shots of Adam Jasinski on Big Brother 9 were of joy and the exuberation that comes with winning a half a million dollars. Adam Jasinski apparently decided he didn't want to have to work again and thought he could turn the $500,000 into millions and then retire quite comfortably. Who knows what he was thinking? He just probably wasn't thinking at all.
Jasinski could have bought a house, a few cars and paid off his entire debt if he had any clue. But unfortunately, now the $500,000 dollars that would have went to some 2nd place reality television star is now in the hands of authorities. It makes you want to scream that someone would get that much of a gift for winning a silly reality television show like Big Brother and then blows his chance. $500,000 was enough to start a business or a franchise. If he lived modestly, he probably could have lived on that amount of money for 10-15 years or more without having to work.
Jasinski is apparently just an absolute idiot. Which further goes to prove that reality contestants should never ever be held high upon a pedestal. Most of us already know this but this situation makes it crystal clear.
When it comes down to it. reality television stars aren't invincible and Adam Jasinski is unfortunately going to learn that the very hard way. The money is gone. The aspect of fame has certainly changed for Adam Jasinski. Jasinski will now be remembered not just for his 15 weeks on Big Brother 9 but how he squandered what some would deem a small fortune. That's just a little too much reality for him or anyone else to deal with.
