Adam Jasinski, "Big Brother" Winner, Arrested for Selling Drugs

"Big Brother" Winner Took Half Million Winnings and Invested in Drug Dealing Business

Last year's "Big Brother 9" winner, Adam Jasinski, was arrested Saturday night after flying to Boston from his home in Florida to transact a drug deal. According to Fox25 in Boston, Adam Jasinski allegedly attempted to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills to a person wearing a wire (an electronic listening device). Court papers indicate that Adam Jasinski flew to Logan Airport in Boston with the drugs secreted in a sock in his pants and, when he handed over the merchandise, authorities moved in and arrested him. The "Big Brother" winner was charged with possession of oxycodone pills with intent to distribute Tuesday in Boston's U. S. District Court.

Adam Jasinski reportedly confessed to authorities that he had taken his $500,000 winnings from "Big Brother" and invested it in drugs. He also told officials that he had been selling drugs -- thousands of oxycodone pills -- along the East Coast since winning the reality show.

Adam Jasinski faces 20 years in prison if convicted, not to mention a $1 million fine.

And that is just for the drug bust. According to TMZ, the "Big Brother" winner also "put up a struggle" when the arresting officer attempted to handcuff him. It is unclear if charges of resisting arrest will be added to Adam Jasinski's infractions.

But Adam Jasinski isn't the only reality show winner that has run afoul of the real Big Brother.

Richard Hatch, the winner of the first season of "Survivor," another CBS reality show, was indicted in September 2005 of tax evasion. Strangely enough, like Adam Jasinski, Richard Hatch's infraction came due to his winnings. According to the United States Attorney's Office in Providence, Rhode Island, Richard Hatch had not paid income tax on his $1 million winnings from "Survivor." On May 16, 2006, he was sentenced to 51 months in jail. His sentence ended Friday.

Another reality show contestant and winner, Ryan Jenkins, became the prime suspect in the death of his wife, Jasmine Fiore, in August when Big Brother captured his image on video surveillance. Ryan Jenkins, who had been a contestant on VH1's "Megan Wants a Millionaire" and a winner on VH1's "I Love Money," told authorities in Los Angeles his wife was missing but dropped out of sight by the time Buena Park officials identified a murdered and mutilated Jane Doe body as missing Jasmine Fiore.

A camera at a San Diego hotel picked up Ryan Jenkins' image as he left hours after Jasmine Fiore was last seen alive. The surveillance footage picked up a suitcase that resembled the suitcase within which Fiore's body was found. Ryan Jenkins would be found dead in a Canadian motel a week later, apparently the victim of his own hand.

Great article saul! What a loser this guy is- he was a buffoon on the show and obviously wasn't smart enough to handle his windfall.
