Adam Lambert AMA Video Controversy Fueling High Record Sales for Debut Album

The Adam Lambert AMA video controversy continues to play out in news and on the internet. Adam Lambert has offered no apology for his AMA performance that many have said was "over the top" for television. While Adam Lambert has admitted that he got caught up in the moment of the AMA performance and got carried away Adam Lambert has offered no apology for his performance. But even with all this Adam Lambert AMA video controversy swirling about, Adam Lambert's debut album "For Your Entertainment" is having great sales numbers.

The Adam Lambert video controversy is a top searched phrase on the internet over the Thanksgiving holiday and it seems that the Adam Lambert video controversy is still making news. Adam Lambert shocked some viewers of the AMAs with his sex-themed performance at the AMAs. He led dancers across the stage with leashes, rubbed one dancers head in his crotch in an orally sexual method, he open mouth kissed a band member and intimately touched a female dancer.

This Adam Lambert video controversy has caused ABC to cancel his appearance on Good Morning America. But CBS was quick up Adam Lambert, almost immediately actually, and Adam Lambert was wonderful as he appeared on CBS. Even his mom was there to say that she supported Adam and his music.

However, CBS even in their kindness of having Adam Lambert on the show, they then blurred out the image of Adam Lambert kissing his male band member. Here is what CBS had to say about it: "We gave this some real thought. The Madonna image is very familiar and has appeared countless times including many times on morning television. The Adam Lambert image is a subject of great current controversy, has not been nearly as widely disseminated, and for all we know, may still lead to legal consequences."

The Madonna image referred to above is from 2003 when Madonna kissed Britney Spears onstage. Yes, so while women can openly kiss women and that can be now be shown on national television at any time of the day, Adam Lambert kissing a man must be blurred out.

Both Adam Lambert and Perez Hilton have pointed to double standard in the media and it would seem that they are correct based on the evidence thus far.

One thing is for sure in this Adam Lambert video controversy - its helping, not hurting Adam Lamberts debut album sales. The album "For Your Entertainment", was expected by Billboard to sell about 225,000 copies. It is now being predicted that with Black Friday and the weekend after Thanksgiving that sales will exceed that number. In comparison the Idol winner Kris Allen's debut album has sold only 80,000 copies.
