Adam Lambert and Ashley Greene Tell All on the Ellen DeGeneres Show

AMA Awards Showstopper & Twilight, New Moon Star Talk to Ellen

Damien Andrews
The Ellen DeGeneres Show is swooping into December with some fantastic red-hot celebrity interviews. Ellen DeGeneres will start her holiday season interview sweep with the controversial American Idol star, Adam Lambert on Tuesday, December 01, 2009. The next day, Wednesday, December 02, 2009, Twilight and New Moon actress, Ashley Greene will be telling her best vampire movie making stories to Ellen DeGeneres in front of a, no doubt, packed Warner Brothers studio audience.

As I write this, the full interview of American Idol runner up, Adam Lambert, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been taped, but has not aired on television yet. Fans and bloggers are already speculating and discussing what Adam Lambert's next move will be. Fans want to know what Adam Lambert's post-AMA performance state of mind is. Well, no one needs to speculate anymore. A tweet sent yesterday before the taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, from Adam Lambert to all of his fans, says it all. "Ellen: airing 2m. Singing 'whatya want from me'!, AMA performance was a one time event. Goin in a new direction now. Focus back on the music...Don't worry friends: I'm still gonna be me. Always. W/o appologies. Just gonna experiment differently w how I present myself...I'm learning. :)"

During his interview, Adam Lambert shared with Ellen DeGeneres what was going on in his head leading up to his now infamous American Music Awards performance ending with a boy-on-boy kiss. That kiss ended up being blurred out of future broadcasts by CBS. "Well, I had been experimenting on stage, during my tour, and finally thought for the AMA's, I'll try something different, push myself. It was maybe a little too far. I think in hindsight I look back on it and I go, 'OK, maybe that wasn't the best first impression to make again, the first second impression.' I mean, I had fun up there, I had a good time, my dancers had fun and the band had fun. I respect people and feel like people walked away from that feeling disrespected. I would never intend to disrespect anybody. So that was not my intention."

Ellen DeGeneres quickly chimed in with her stand on the double standard censorship issue brought to light by Adam Lambert's sexually charged performance at the AMA's. She made her point by saying, "My whole thing is I feel like if you're offended by a show of sexuality on stage, then you should be offended by all shows of sexuality. It should be all forms." Adam Lambert replied, "I think, too, people aren't used to seeing gay man portrayed that way on TV. The gay male image in the media tends to be very clique and safe. I was putting on a character, putting on a persona being this kind of rock star, kind of dangerous kind of guy. Here is a link to a short clip of the Adam Lambert interview that will be airing today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. http://www.eonline.com/videos/v47948_lambert-admits-going-too-far.html

Ashley Greene, or Alice Cullen (sister to Edward Cullen) in the Twilight and New Moon movies, will be joining Ellen DeGeneres to talk about how her personal and professional life have changed since joining the phenomenon called Twilight. Ashley Greene first had hopes of becoming a model, but the 5'4" beauty was told she was not tall enough to be a runway model. At the age of 17, Ashley Greene left her home in Jacksonville, Florida to start a career in acting out in Hollywood. Ashley Greene's big break came when she got the part as Alice in the Twilight and New Moon movies.

The Ashley Greene interview will air on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday, December 2, 2009. If you miss seeing Ellen DeGeneres interview Ashley Greene, try searching for it on YouTube. There will no doubt be many copies of it on the most viewed page of YouTube by Wednesday evening.
