Adam Lambert Called a Diva Already

Nasty Rumors Abound Already About the Polite, Gracious Adam Lambert

Mary Zeiher
Adam Lambert has now, already been labeled as a diva. Adam Lambert has been an extremely polite and humble young man throughout the entire time that he has been thrown into the spotlight through his journey on American Idol and now beyond.

Even on the evening of his loss he has been nothing but gracious and mature in his praising of the winner Kris Allen. Adam, much more so than his world-wide fans that have voiced their displeasure over the American Idol shocker decision.

So I read with both surprise and disbelief the report that American Idol runner up Adam Lambert, has become "a handful behind the scenes and while he is working and the label "diva" has emerged for the rising star".

Adam Lambert, a diva? I don't think so. Whatever anonymous source fed this piece of garbage news to the print media needs to be removed from even being near Adam Lambert. A word of warning to Adam, be careful who you keep near you from now on.

Let's look at the facts. From the moment we "met" Adam in San Francisco tryouts for American Idol tryouts, he was a perfect gentleman. He kissed Kara and Paula's hands as he left the audition room. He was polite and down-to-earth when he spoke with Ryan Seacrest.

As the show continued on, we came to realize that his humbleness was real. His politeness was real. Adam Lambert was real. He was the real deal, with manners to add to the top of his amazing talent.

Whether the panel of American Idol judges was praising his performance, such as for his rendition of "Mad World" or "Black and White", or they were criticizing what they believed to be his over-the-top theatrics such as with "Ring of Fire"; Adam always took their input with his classy smile and kind words.

The night that Kris Allen won American Idol over Adam Lambert, Adam had this to say backstage: "'Kris won because he's a great artist, and I was happy to be a runner-up to that." He was open and gracious and never said a single bad word about the outcome of the competition.

Adam Lambert never said what all his fans and the bloggers were saying. They were all saying that Adam should have won, my personal opinion to this day. They were all saying that Adam was the better performer and that America got it wrong. But Adam Lambert never joined in that chorus of voices. He remained supportive of the American Idol process and the outcome.

I do not believe the reports that Adam Lambert is acting like a 'diva'. He has been sensible and down to earth his whole time in the spotlight so far, never a negative report about his behavior. I do not believe it now. Adam Lambert has an incredible musical career in front of him and I am certain that he will traverse the music industry with the same courteous behavior that he showed throughout the American Idol competition.

You used this old headline to get readers even though you knew it wasn't true. But, thanks for this article, I totally agree, as do my coworkers who have met Adam in SD.

The original "reporter" said "somone said"=and could not state who, when said, or where. Absolutely bullstinky from Courtney Hazlett who used Adam's name to get someone to read her column. She is a disgrace and takes the place of a good reporter looking for work. Adam has faced a lot in our society and culture and does it with courage and respect and only a petty jealous person would create this lie.

Thank you for this article! I TOTALLY agree.

Thank you for setting the record straight. The false article published by Courtney Hazlett was irresponsible and then repeated by other media outlets. Eveyrone knows Adam is a great guy.

Adam is definitely not a diva...

Too bad Adam's fans don't follow his lead! Adam's fans are the ones who turned me away, not Adam himself! Adam's fans are over-the-top disgusting!

I see that Adam Lambert won the Youg Hollywood entertainer of the year award yesterday. The top prize. Rock on Adam! My wife and I have met Adam on a few occasions when he performed at the upright Cafe and caught him once at the Zodiac Show. The kid is no Diva. Always gracious, always appreciative. It does not appear in his nature to be Diva like. It is too bad that media outlets such as MSN are allowed to publish such an article that could potentially damage his reputation. However, it is refreshing to read artilces such as the one above defending the truth. That's what good journalism does - defend the truth not spread lies.

Although I am happy that you came to Adam's defense and that you condemn the garbage that pretends to be journalism, you are perpetuating the rumor by titling your article "Adam Lambert Called a Diva Already." Enough! When people see this title on a list of smear articles, they may not even open it to read your defense. The title alone makes it appear that you are yet another "news" source reporting on this unsubstatiated and out of character smear about him. Why not a title like,"Adam Lamber is no Diva."
    Shame on you, too.

    Totally agree..

Adam is no Diva. He's genuine, sincere, true to himself and a music genius. Even if he shows signs of one, I can totally understand cos he's not settling for 2nd best for music/performance. He's got to be upfront, deciding how he wants to be different in terms of music arrangement, lighting effects, costume and style coordination - this way, people may misunderstand him and think that he's a diva. But hell no, he just want to be different and unique and true to himself and there's no other way than to tell those around him not to work the normal way they do and to insist having his own way cos he knows exactly what he wants!!!

Adam rocks!!! Adam, continue to be who you are and do what you think is right! I'm behind you all the way!!!!

Adam has been nothing but humble since his first audition. Jealousy breeds these lies and, unfortunately, Adam will have to learn to live with such false claims. Just remember Adam that you have a legion of true fans and we love you. Glambert #1255
