Adam Lambert is Destined to Be the Eighth American Idol Winner

I was Sold on Adam on Day One, but Now I'm Convinced He Will Be the Next American Idol

I was certain several weeks ago that Adam Lambert was the number one contender on this season of American Idol. After watching this evening's disco-themed performances, I am more convinced than ever that Adam Lambert will reign as this season's American Idol winner.

Adam's performance tonight was brilliant, and earned him outstanding comments from all of the judges. He was able to take a popular, but so-so disco song, make it totally original, then blow us away with his unbelievable vocals. The result was quite outstanding and utterly fabulous.

Adam's range is like none other on American Idol. In fact, Randy exclaimed tonight, "You're ready!" Is this dog really ready for the big time? In one word, Yes!" He is original, talented, and rises above all the other competitors on season eight. In fact, he is the only contestant to date to earn a standing ovation from Simon Cowell.

According to Show Biz and Style, Adam can bask in the warm, tingly feeling that comes from knowing that, in the entire eight-year history of "American Idol," he's the only finalist ever honored by the show's resident sourpuss, Simon Cowell, with a standing ovation (two weeks ago).

So what makes Adam Lambert so incredibly special in a season that has seven of the best competitors ever? He is an unbelievably talented singer who can hit the high notes like none other, and performs like no other contestant. He is a true showman in every sense, and a true original who can take a commercial jingle and make it his own. His sound has been quoted as magic and flawless. I wholeheartedly agree. Did he have training? Yes. Should that go against him? No! Adam had worked hard at obtaining his goals, and the true prize is right within his grasp.

This season is the best of all eight American Idol seasons, and fans of the show couldn't be happier. As someone who has watched since season one, I am thrilled with the raw talent of season eight. While I hate to see any of the remaining competitors go, I must express gratitude to them and the show's producers for the best season of all. Job well done!

I predict that the final two competitors left standing for the season finale will be Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta. Allison, while just 16-years-old has the heart and soul of a much more seasoned and experienced performer. Her sound is totally original, and she continues to be true to herself and her quirky performance style. Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud and Kris Allen will round out the top five. Although I think they are talented, Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds will soon be eliminated.

Many thanks are extended to American Idol for the best season ever!
