Adam Lambert: His Haiti Message, Birthday, & 52nd Pre-Grammy News 2010

Rik Merchant
Best-selling recording artist and glam man Adam Lambert, who infused American Idol 2009 with gritty rock-and-roll and brought black leather bondage to the American Music Awards, is doing the red carpet on Sunday night at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards with Entertainment Tonight (ET)'s blond Kevin Frazier, who handed a virtual baton over to Lambert. Trend-setting fashion-plate Lambert will play ET's fashionista correspondent and will critique Grammy attendees' fashionwear.

During an interview by Frazier, Lambert said that he looks forward to his new temp position and will be honest in his sizing up of men in their garb and women in their designer frocks and perhaps shocker duds. He will say exactly what he thinks but won't be unkind. Looking incredibly sharp with his jet-black hair in a high pompadour, his eyes thickly lined in black, and his god bod suited in black satin, Lambert said, "I'm overly honest, so that will probably show through. I won't be mean though. I'm not mean."

This leads us to Adam Lambert's heart, which is always in the right place. And that place right now is Haiti. The glamour guy, who celebrated turning 28 just two days ago on January 29, said in an exclusive statement via ET on January 20-

The people of Haiti need your help. The images are heartbreaking... the loss of life devastating. But tonight you help lift the agony and help the people of Haiti. Give $1- give whatever you can. Your contributions can help end the unimaginable suffering. Do something that will change a life, do something that will make a difference. Don't just let the images on television fade to black.

Reach out and help Haiti today, tomorrow, and every day until they are out from under the rubble. Your donations will make a difference. Your generosity, no matter how small, can help pull them [the Haitians] out of this horror. Please, join forces with ET and the Red Cross.

How We Can Help: Financial donations can be made at the Red Cross Website, or call 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish), or mail a donation to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013. A $10 donation can also be made by texting 'Haiti' to 90999. Funds support American Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.

Helping Haitian Families ReConnect. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is helping Haitian families separated during the earthquake to reconnect. They have a Website for Haitians in Haiti and abroad to use in registering and searching for the names of missing relatives- ICRC-Family links.
