Adam Lambert Just Wants to Be Who Adam Lambert Is

But Adam Lambert Also Wants to Keep His Audiences Guessing

Mary Zeiher
Adam Lambert just wants to be Adam Lambert. He wants to be honest about who he is. The American Idol runner-up, and maker of news world-wide from his performance at the American Music Awards on November 22, 2009 wants to be true to himself. Even though the hit TV show American Idol expects that the Idols will have mass-appeal to the widest possible market, Adam still tries to stay true to himself.

As we now know, before his first album, "For Your Entertainment", was released, Adam Lambert performed at the AMAs and caused quite a controversy that continues to be reported about for 2009. His racy performance included french-kissing a man and simulating oral sex with a dancer, among other things.

That performance led to cancelled performances on ABC that included Good Morning America, The Jimmy Kimmel Show and they cancelled Adam Lambert from Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

Adam Lambert has since come back strong with performances on the CBS Morning Show and even eventually came back to ABC with an appearance on The View. He has also been a guest on Chelsea Lately and the Jay Leno Show along with multiple other appearances. Adam Lambert is one busy guy here at the end of 2009.

Lambert will also be performing at the annual Gridlock New Year's Eve concert in Los Angeles, California - instead of that Rockin' Eve gig. Adam Lambert is the headline act for Gridlock and he will perform at the stroke of midnight New Year's Eve. Gridlock New Year's Eve will not be televised though. So for many of us Lambert fans we are very sad that we will not ring in the New Year with our new favorite musical star Adam Lambert.

For all of this hoopla - oh and Adam did release his new album and has sold over 200,000 copies so far - Adam Lambert still just wants to be Adam Lambert. Lambert said, "I'm a sexual person, that's who I am. I'm just trying to be honest about who I am as a human being." And that would seem to be exactly what his throngs of fans want.

Adam Lambert has stated that he wants to "keep people guessing". That is exactly what Adam did on American Idol as each week he re-created himself based on the week's theme and audiences couldn't wait to see what Adam would perform each week. Adam also has this to say about his new album, "..it's very diverse. It's kind of an eclectic mix of music. There are other songs on there that explore other themes."

Adam Lambert is looking forward to 2010 and his fans and audiences will be watching to see what the New Year will hold for this newest, rising star.

Love Adam, he is a chameleon that keeps us guessing and watching for what he will do next. I had the pleasure of actually meeting him for a few seconds in Tampa, he is gracious and giving to fans, the whole package. Adam, rock on into 2010, we will go with you wherever you go.

Adam had good sales this week even with the holidays and bad weather. Reaching nearly 420,000 albums sold in 5 weeks!! Adam Rocks!! Billboard said he had the #2 selling debut album for 2009.

Jody are you for real?? Adam does not run around looking for press; that is just ignorant. Adam goes on interviews as scheduled (like all muscians) promoting his album, but Adam is hounded by the paparazzi and tries to avoid them. Please you are making an idiot of yourself saying such inane nonsense.

Adam has sold more than 418,000, and to Roger, you just shut up, you don't know Adam at all, he is honest and forth right and a genuine lovely person. We have followed his career even before Idol and know what a great person he is. don't paint all celebs with the same brush and make stupid comments on someone you don't even know, and I'm sure none of the other celebs you claim this of , you don't know them either!!

yep, that's exactly what i want and more. 2009 was a year that adam's fans will never forget, the year that he came into our lives and rocked our world, literally. 2010 is going to just blow our minds that he'll finally be touring solo and doing his own original music. the adam storm has come and i feel it gaining momentum.
