Adam Lambert Lands in the Bottom 2

Natalie Cole, Taylor Hicks and Jamie Foxx Perform on AI

After 47 million votes, the most of Season 8, Adam Lambert found himself in the bottom two tonight. Of course there is no way of knowing if we were told the correct order of the results. In the end it was Matt Giraud who left the American Idol stage in 5th place for Season 8. Ironically, had front-runner Adam Lambert gone home tonight it would have been due to the judges saving Matt two weeks ago. Breathe easy Lambert fans, he is safe in the final four.

There was some good entertainment tonight on the AI stage. Natalie Cole, Taylor Hicks and Jamie Foxx all performed for the young audience. Natalie Cole looked fantastic.

Taylor Hicks brought his Soul Patrol back from Season 5 American Idol. With his new single "Seven Mile Breakdown" and a new CD, The Distance. Taylor Hicks is one of the least successful AI winners, through no fault of his own. He always sounds good. The problem is that he doesn't fit in any genre. So you have to be great. Or outrageous... see Adam Lambert.

Jamie Foxx, guest mentor from last night, rounded out the entertainment part of the night. Foxx has the number one song in the country right now with "Blame It" from his platinum CD, Intuition. I like Jamie Foxx's voice, I don't like it synthesized. It got the crowd wound up to a frenzy for the nail-biting elimination. Foxx had nothing but love for the AI hopefuls. He said, "..these are five of the most talented people I've met in the last ten years..." Foxx urged America to embrace the Idol finalists as artists, not just singers (we shall see).

When it came to elimination time tonight on AI, I only had a momentary 'bad feeling'. I honestly don't believe that Adam Lambert was even in the bottom vote count, though I could be wrong. American Idol has been down in ratings this season and it would be worth it to them to go for the drama. As Matt Giraud sang his swan song on the AI stage we are left with the Season 8 final four: Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta.

ADAM AT THE BOTTOM 2?!!! It's unbelievable! I mean, Adam is the FRONT RUNNER now in the competition! and he's in the bottom 2?! it just doesn't seem right! How could American Idol USED Adam for money or for ratings sake???!!! And Why would they choose Adam to be at the bottom 2?, not Danny or Alison or Kris? Maybe because they think that this could be one of the most talked issue since adam is involved, maybe they would like to get more votes from the Adam Fans since they know that Adam has more Fans than the other contestants!

WELL I THINK THEY GOT WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO HAPPEN! HAPPY NOW?!

-I wish I could do something, I wish I could vote! unfortunately, i'm not an american citizen. I'm just a huge FAN! =) (BY the Way, Alison is living with the most HOT GUYS in american idol! I'm so jealous! haha! Life is just unfair!) =(

*ADAM DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE BOTTOM 2! I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT!!

Maybe Adam was 3rd in votes. They simply said that Matt, Kris, & Adam were the bottom 3. Then they told Kris he was safe. They never specifically said that Kris was 3rd in votes, just that he was safe. I assume he was probably 4th, with Adam coming in 3rd. Or as you say...maybe he wasn't even really in the bottom 3.
