Adam Lambert Rocks American Idol, Season 8

American Idol Group #2 had a couple of stand out moments Wednesday night. But the show really started when Allison belted out a rendition of Heart's song "Alone". Through out Norman/Nicks performances, I have been unable to keep from enjoying his goofy antics and fairly good singing, but admittedly it has grown tiresome. There were a few good singers but none of them were original or memorable until Megan Joy took the microphone.

She was very interesting and fun, I didn't really get the whole herky/jerky bit, but it worked for her. I have to say that the one who has the greatest mass appeal has to be Adam Lambert. He has that something that can shoot him straight to stardom. And all the girls yelled "Adam!!!" He is really the one to beat. I really was surprised that I liked Jesse Langseth singing "Betty Davis Eyes".

I hope to see chosen for a top twelve spot Allison Iraheta, Megan Joy Corkey, and Adam Lambert. And it would be great to see wild cards given to Jesse Langseth and Kai Kalama.

Simon was a bit more relaxed and actually cracked a few smiles tonight but as always brutally honest. Randy is such a nice guy that even when he hands out negative feed back, he does it in such a way that it comes off nice. I like that in a person. There is a way to critique others with out causing offense or hurting their feelings. Paula and Kara really didn't have a lot to say to each other tonight. I wonder if it was due to the comment Paula made about not needing a fourth judge.
