Adam Lambert Rocks the House on April 14 American Idol

Adam Lambert pranced out onto the stage back in the character that he loves to play, a rock star. While he has proven that he can tone it down and sing a ballad that has the crowd in awe, his favorite role is when he is in his leathers and tearing it up. Well tear it up he did and he continues to be the one person that you know is going to have his name in lights when this season is over.

Adam sang 'Born to be Wild' and once again added his own little touch to it to set it apart from the original. He has some incredible voice fluctuations throughout the song that once again showed his incredible range. I have been very critical of him when he sings these types of songs in that I always feel that he is screaming at times and out of control. That was far from the case on Tuesday night.

This was the performance that I think everyone has been waiting for, a true superstar on the stage. If anyone can argue that he has given a better rock performance so far this season, I would love to hear about it. Simon stated that people were going to either "love or hate it," but he sang the song in the era style that it was written in. It was a superior performance.

In a week when everyone else seemed to go back to the ballad that they are all using as a safety net, Adam once again proves that he has the talent to sing anything and the stage presence to put fans in the seat. He continues to set himself up as the one to beat and I have yet to see anyone answer the challenge for more than a week.
