Adam Young of Owl City Turns Taylor Swift's Valentine's Day into a Fairytale

Adam Young of Owl City, the band responsible for the beautiful song "Fireflies", is trying to make Taylor Swift's Valentine's Day an enchanted one. The pop princess recently got her heart broken by actor Jake Gyllenhaal and might not be ready to re-enter the dating world, but it seems that that her Valentine's Day will have a fairytale ending anyway.

Last year Taylor Swift talked about a mystery man that she met in New York City that she had corresponded with via E-mail before. Evidently meeting him in person was one of those "love at first sight" moments, because Taylor Swift stated that she had thought "I really hope that you're not in love with somebody" upon meeting him. She also admitted that her fairy tale song "Enchanted" was about this mystery man, and said she was pining away for a romance that might not happen all the way home.

And now it seems that Adam Young has figured out he is the mystery man Taylor Swift is referring to in "Enchanted". All of the uppercase letters in the lyrics printed on her album spell "A-D-A-M", and Adam Young is extremely flattered (and enchanted) by the little secret love message.

He responded to Taylor Swift's message on Owl City's website by stating that he's "utterly smitten" and that he can't stop smiling. He's also re-written the words to her song "Enchanted" to include the line "Taylor I was so in love with you," calling her a true princess from a fairytale and a modern-day Cinderella. Wow.

So is love in the air for these two? Well, Taylor Swift, who has described herself as an Owl City super fan, is on tour in Asia right now, so there was no way for the two to meet up for Valentine's Day. And Taylor Swift might not want to start dating so soon after she had her heart broken by Jake Gyellenhaal.

But, then again, Taylor Swift is most definitely a fan of fairytales, as are her many fans. It's easy to imagine that they're all rooting for this budding love to blossom, and it definitely gives Taylor Swift some good material for more fairy-tale based songs. So here's to hoping that whatever she pens after this romantic tale plays out has a happy ending.
