Adams Idea Pro Black Irons

MikeBabjak
A few years ago Adams Golf introduced the Idea Pro line of Hybrids and Irons. They were a great match for the better player and it opened up a whole now customer base for Adams Golf. There have been some very good revisions to their "Pro" model clubs over the years and I feel they have hit the nail on the head with their newest players iron.

The Adams Idea Pro Black Irons are a classic looking blade at setup with some modern technology implanted on the back of the club head. It's forged carbon steel head with nickel ion plating give it a very sharp look. As for performance....

The center of gravity in each iron is located to give a penetrating ball flight for maximum workability. The soft head gives it a great feel and really inspires confidence for the better player. The ability to move the ball anyway they can is always an asset for good golfers and gives them and advantage over players who are simply unable to do so.

Hitting the Adams Idea Pro Black Irons really was a treat. I was able to hit the 3-5-7-9 irons and each one was very consistent and the distance was gapped very well. They are available in 3-GW. I noticed that the heads themselves will over time produce a nice little wear spot on the face after several impacts, and the sole will wear a little over time as well. If you are a good player, nothing beats a nice solid wear spot right on the sweet spot of the iron face!

Hitting high, low, draws, fades, these irons really could do it all. The only real issue I had with these irons is that I don't play enough anymore to put a set in my bag full time! They really are that good! The KBS Tour Black iron shafts were a great touch, however there are many custom options to go with, and a Tour Velvet grip provides a great feeling club from top to bottom.

If you are a better player looking to try something different, I would really suggest giving these irons a look. They are very sleek and distinctive looking and hit like a dream. I'll be back to review their matching Pro Black Hybrids soon! You know, the more I have demoed Adams Golf equipment, the more I am starting to like them!

Stay Tuned,

Mike
