Adams Idea Pro Gold Hybrid

MikeBabjak
I've now done several Adams Golf articles and reviews but for some reason or another have not written on their hybrids! It should be a crime I know! The reason for this and it has been stated before is that for some reason I am simply not an Adams Golf fan. They make great stuff for all types of players, but it's never been my cup of tea. Enough of that, on to the hybrids!

The Adams Golf Idea Pro Golf Hybrid is the best of their clubs for my money. The look, shape, feel, and overall playability make this a great hybrid for the better players. Having been used on tour for a couple of years now by some of the games best players, the Idea Pro Gold Hybrids will most likely be found in golf bags for years to come!

Using their Boxer Technology, the Pro Gold's have a squarish look for weighting and stability on off center hits. A maraging steel face gives a bit of kick to the ball at impact which is a bit of an upgrade from the Idea Pro Hybrid from a few years ago. Adam's touts that the above mentioned technologies create up to 10% more distance and 5% more accuracy than previous versions.

I had a chance to hit the 2 Hybrid. They make a ton of these things from #1 to #5 (16*-26*). Their lengths and lofts are right on the money for consistent shots and distance gapping while the Ozik and Mitsubishi shaft options aver very attractive. The 2 Hybrid for me is a great looking and feeling club. I could not work it as well as say a King Cobra Pro Hybrid, but just enough to make it worth the test. The trajectory, distance, and overall performance of this club do suggest it is for the better player, even though the squarish look may say otherwise.

Overall this is a solid hybrid from Adams Golf. I promise to review a few more, and have so I don't slight the best hybrid maker in golf! Bottom line is if you are a better player searching for a more forgiving, slightly hotter hybrid that still looks good and allows for some shot making, I would give the Adams Golf Idea Pro Golf Hybrids a try.

If having a chance to read over and take a look at this club yourself is not what you are looking for, there will be more Adams Golf reviews on the way!

Stay Tuned,
