Adams Speedline Driver Review

Adams Golf has made great leaps in their design and marketing from their original Tight Lies line of fairway woods. Their hybrids are now widely used on all major golf tours and they even picked up a few players on the US PGA Tour.

Getting a solid group of players on their Tour Staff has helped with brand awareness, and the fact they have been making some very good products the past few years has made Adams a very popular club company for even better players, while still making equipment for the average and beginning golfer.

The new Adams Speedline Driver features a very fast club head shape that creates less drag for higher club head speed and more distance. Adams touts this new club head style will give you three to four more miles an hour which will equate to three to nine more yards of distance. There have been several designs in the past to gain more club head speed, and this is the first I've seen in a while that suggested more club head speed in a new driver shape, rather than more accuracy as you are seeing more of these days.

What starts this new design is their new are-shaped crown and heel and toe scoops which keeps the air flowing around the club head more efficiently than before. A ProLaunch Axis shaft creates a stable club and great feel and will give the golfer High Launch and Low Spin.

This club looks pretty good when you set it down at address. Nothing too extreme so it is very pleasing to the eye. The club feels very solid in the hands, and feels very hot when it hits a ball. Now, I have no idea if it actually gets you more club head speed. I did not have my swing speed device out to prove it, but it defiantly went a little farther. Working the ball was easy to do with this club, and the shaft really makes this a total package driver under $300.

Many long drive participants have been using this driver, and I would suggest the Adams Speedline driver be looked at by those simply looking to pick up a few more yards in the new year. They also offer a Draw version in this club head to help those who fight a slice. Both drivers are very solid options.
