Ada's Natural & Organic Foods Supermarket in Fort Myers, Florida

Ada's has been serving Southwest Florida for nearly 6 years with the finest quality health foods. I remember in the year 2005 the excitement I felt when I found this little health food market after leaving the gym in Fort Myers, Florida. The store was small, but had the basic organic products you needed to get by. You could get your protein shake mixes and supplements. Ada's has their own brand of nutritional supplements and it was much more affordable, so that is the great quality brand I would purchase. You had to be careful not to bump into anybody in such a small quaint little store. As time passed, signs and notices of Ada's big move to another location were posted around the store.

Suddenly the grand opening day came. Ada's became a bigger hit more than before. The extremely, huge supermarket had made its successful move and was larger than life. Ada's maintained the same great accomodating employees and high quality standards, but on a much larger scale. I was ecstatic. It was great to see how this family business had blossomed from hard work and determination.

As soon as you walk in the jungle rainforest themed atmosphere, you see grand waterfalls with fish swimming at the bottom, and tiki hut help center. Huge imitation trees with foliage and zoo type animal figures, such as zebras etc. popping out here and there like a fantasy land. Kids love being in this store The saltwater fish tanks are filled with all types of exotic fish. Your shopping experience is one of tranquility and excitement. You can truly fill up on samples all throughout the store. Every month you get a 10% discount; this is the day to shop in the store.

Prices

The prices aren't as low as they should be on many of the products. Florida Crystals Organic and Natural Cane Sugar can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Publix and Albertson's for around $3.50- $4.00 but Ada's sells it for a $6.39- $7.29. Amy's name brand foods can also be found in the local supermarket and Wal-Mart at a much lower price than at Ada's. For the most part we all know organic products cost more and Ada's is no different when it comes to prices being on the rise.

Ada's Natural Foods provide the finest quality of fresh and organic foods. You don't just get food at Ada's. Large sections are filled with an array of the best nutritional vitamins and herbs, protein powder mixes, body and cleansing systems.

In the back is an area to get all your bulk food items. My favorite was the chocolate covered almonds, dried apricots and organic walnuts, and trail mix. I loved to stop at Ada's before heading to the gym that was nearby. I would stay in there for hours sniffing the new beauty products, and browsing the isle designated just for tea. They have cleansing teas, Traditional Medicine brand tea selections, bulk tea from China, specialty organic brands. The choices were limitless and that is what was awesome about the store.

The frozen food sections always filled with natural and organic foods specialty brands. Fresh produce and wheat grass are plentiful. The produce has no damaging pesticides. You can also buy local products like honey, Florida cane sugar, and fresh fish. Meats- are organic. They also sell free-range poultry and fish products. Around the holidays they always have a good supply of free range turkeys. Choose any kind of protein bar, cake or chocolate your heart desires that are all organic or derived from natural products as well.Beauty-The beauty isle is stocked with natural vibrant make up hues made of pure natural mica , shampoo and conditioners, toothpaste, natural soaps, hair dyes all containing no harmful chemicals. Household Cleaners such as floor, carpet, bathroom, and multi- purpose cleaners, that are environment friendly are also at Ada's Supermarket,

Children

The best products for children are the healthy snacks kids love to eat that can be packed in a healty school lunch. Finding alternative medicine is hard, Ada's makes it easy. Ada's Natural Foods was the place I ran to when my children were sick. Homeopathic formulas for colds, flu and viruses, ear infections, eczema, probiotics, adhd, even toxin body cleansing systems for children.etc are always well stocked. If you don't know what you need, Ada's awesome staff goes above and beyond to help assist you in finding what you need, or giving advice about what is helpful. I actually discovered the health benefits of probiotics by a staff member who took the time to inform me about them. If the person assisting you doesn't know the answer, they look it up or they put your name on a list to order your special request and call you when the products are in stock. I give Ada's a grade of 100% on customer service and satisfaction.

Did I mention pets? Get what you need to feed your dog or cat healthy organic pet foods. The best name brands for pet vitamins, like probiotics for animals by Jarrow Formulas. There are herbal formulas that can be bought here to get your animals health back in tip top shape. Purchase natural shampoos to protect your pets from fleas and other pests.

Deli

Last but not least check out the in store Organic and Natural Deli is amazing and the talk of the town. Chef Brooke livens up the deli allowing your taste buds to dance with her creative culinary creations. The dishes are fresh, delicious, and healthy. Try a gluten-free muffin, or a hot platter meal. Stop in the store for lunch.

Locations

Watch for new locations of Ada's Natural Foods opening up in Boca Raton, Sarasota, and Kendall Florida in the year 2009. The Naples location is scheduled to open December 2008.
