Add a Romantic Display to Your Bedroom

Looking for a way to add some romantic decor to the bedroom? There are some key tips to remember when keeping the romance in the bedroom. Let it be a place that is simple and clear of the outside world. Do not have your TV, computer, bills, or any other distracting thing in your romantic bedroom. Those things tend to strike up un-romantic conversation. When you want to create a romantic getaway for you and your spouse you should keep these things out.

Make sure that you have romantic sheets on the bed. Have a big, soft, fluffy comforter on top of your sexy, romantic sheets that look inviting and romantic. Have adjustable lighting that can be turned down to a glow. Have a radio to play soft, romantic music.

SHELF: Find a long shelf at a retail store or craft store. The shelf can be unfinished and in pieces if you wish, this can make it cheaper. Then get some black spray paint. You may need two cans. Spray paint the entire shelf, top and bottom, with the black paint. Let dry, and apply another coat if needed. Spray paint is the most forgiving way to paint wood, it rarely will show imperfections or drips in the paint job.

CANDLE DISPLAY: Find a large curling votive candle display that is the length of your shelf and will set on your shelf without falling off. It should have many small votive cups to hold votive candles. Get small battery operated candles or votive candles to place in the votive holders. Make sure you get enough to fill every empty cup.

WALL: Once the shelf has dried, hang it over your bed. Put it on the wall above the head end of your bed for display. Then place your votive candle holder on the shelf. Now that it is in place you could add a vase of faux roses or flowers to add to the romantic look. You could also add some vine to hang down off of the shelf or to wrap around the candle holder.

The next time that you and your spouse are in a romantic mood, light all of the candles in the candle votive display for a romantic glow. Turn the lights down low and enjoy the ambience that the glow from the candles create. Low lighting is a great way to create a romantic atmosphere and get you in the mood for romance.
