Adderall XR Side Effects: My Two Brothers' Experience with This Drug

This article is about the side effects of Adderall XR. My two brother's were on Adderall XR and one is still on it.

Adderall XR is a "cocktail" mixture of four different amphetamine salts. Some side effects for this medication include anorexia, insomnia, weight loss, emotional liability, depression, abdominal pain, accidental injury, fatigue, fever, infection, viral infection, loss of appetite, diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, nervousness, asthenia, headache, dry mouth, agitation, anxiety, tachycardia, urinary tract infection, irritability, over stimulation, restlessness, unpleasant taste, euphoria, feeling of paranoia and suspicion, addiction, tolerance (constant need to increase the dose), phonetic tics, high blood pressure, rapid pulse rate, increased heart rate, hallucinations, tourette's syndrome, cardiomyopathy, and sudden death.

Adderall XR is a medication used for ADHD. Sometimes this medication is used with the medication called seroquel. which if you stop and think about it, if you read all the side effects with seroquel and adderall XR, then you can pretty much figure that something is going to happen to your child when taking both at the same time which is the case with my two brother's. They have experienced just about every side effect associated with both the drugs except sudden death.

Yes these pills have been tested before they are put out on the market, but some people do not react the same way with medication. People are different and some people cannot take the same medications as other people.

With adderall XR, there are some pills you cannot take while taking this medication. Plus if you are on other medications, you need to tell your doctor before he prescribes it to you because some other medication can increase the side effect in Adderall XR.

So be careful and read everything you can read on a new medication your doctor is wanting to prescribe to you before taking it. Especially if it is your child taking the pill. Always read everything on pills that your child is taking even you are taking. It may save your life.
