I found the Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Optical Trackball at Circuit City for $59.99. First of all it is wireless which is really great. I was ecstatic to find a keyboard with a trackball on it.
A lot of people have a bias against trackballs for some reason. I admit there is a bit of a learning curve to using one. I guess if all you have ever used is a mouse; the trackball would be an issue.
The Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Optical Trackball comes with a wireless receiver that plugs into a USB port. This gives you a lot of freedom, and the trackball adds to the mix by giving your one less thing to have on your desk.
To me having a mouse on the desk is just one more thing that takes up space. Using a trackball frees you to not have your hand on the mouse all the time. The Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Optical Trackball has the trackball on the right side of the keyboard, and the right and left click buttons on the left.
The Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Optical Trackball keyboard layout is pretty god too. It is somewhat ergonomic, and the keys are placed well. It might be a bit of a problem for someone with larger hands, but for me, I found that the keys worked nicely.
I found that the trackball part of the Adesso is fairly sensitive; it has an 800 dpi resolution. I find it works just as well as most mice I have used.
One slight problem for me was that after my friend's trackball keyboard I had to get myself a regular sized trackball. Getting used to the smaller (27mm) trackball of the Adesso took me a bit of getting used to.
So if you are like me, and have searched high and low to find an integrated keyboard trackball, the Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Optical Trackball is for you.
