This includes any complications that you may experience with bladder control. Many people may feel extremely awkward discussing this issue, but the doctor understands that your body will experience many changes when you suffer from this taxing condition. The doctor will carefully evaluate your medical history, the prescriptions that you currently take, as well as the severity of the bladder control issue and then determine the best course of action for you. This may include lifestyle changes, prescriptions, and even different kinds of behavior therapy.

Some of the lifestyle changes that your doctor may recommend may include consuming beverages and other liquids that do not contain caffeine, ingesting liquids that can actually assist in the proper functioning of the bladder, and changing eating habits. Caffeine consumption can play a large role when it comes to issues with the bladder. This particular ingredient has been determined to be an irritant to the urinary tract and may actually induce a loss of control within the bladder. There are other liquids, such as cranberry juice, that works to prevent bacteria in the bladder and promotes proper functioning. Additionally, eating a raw food diet can help deliver important natural nutrients that the body requires in order to make sure all internal components are working properly.

There are many doctors that will suggest a regular exercise regime in order to prevent loss of bladder control. Many of the exercises that they recommend that you do are used to strengthen the area of the bladder. The exercises that work to strengthen the bladder are meant to allow you have more control over the issue. These exercises may not always work in many cases of loss of bladder control, but they may help to provide some degree of relief.

When planning social events and activities, you may wish to purchase protective underwear and pads to help to prevent leaks and embarrassment if an accident occurs. It is important to ensure that you carefully select the size that is appropriate for you. Purchasing these items that are too large or too small may result in leaks. There are many different kinds of these products available to individuals that require them.

If you experience bladder control issues with Multiple Sclerosis, it is important to find emotional support. You should explain to family members and friends that you have this issue and that if you are unable to participate in activities with them, or need to end activities quickly that you need them to understand as you are unable to help it. You will be amazed at just how understanding that they can be.
