"Admission of Guilt" by Cathy Jourdan

Don Lee
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to read a new book by a new author. It's called "Admission of Guilt" and it was written by C.M. Jourdan. Ms. Jourdan has a good way with words and tells a great story. Her knowledge of prisons comes through in her technical jargon and the way the people relate to one another.

I really like the stories and found myself hoping to get a copy of her next book as well. I plan to pass her book around to my friends for their reading pleasure. Living on the road, we have days where to read is to keep from losing your mind. C.M. Jourdans book, "Admission of Guilt" will keep every reader entertained and thinking fast, just to keep up.

Her short stories run the gamut of human evil and basic weirdness. From doomed men (who didn't know they were doomed) to an innocent who has to plead guilty to be freed. To the conniving evil that kills and destroys what loves it most. To the saddest "happy ending" I've read in a very long time. Ms. Jourdan leads the reader through the maze of the human mind under the stress of prison life.

If you liked Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling, Cathy Jourdan is an author you need to read. Her surprise endings work every time and leave the reader shaking his head. This collection of short stories makes me wonder what she could do if she tried a full length novel. If she does, you can bet I'll be buying one!
