Adobe Photoshop: Creating Powerful Images with the Professional Standard

What are the features of Adobe Photoshop?

Photoshop is a master of digital image creation. Both Photo Shop and Photo Shop Extended offer features that help you to edit your images and use them across different types of media, while integrating seamlessly with other components of creative suite. The new features offered in Adobe Photo Shop CS3 will save you time in completing familiar tasks like making selections, give you more freedom to experiment with your images by using Smart Filters, and introduce you to new possibilities, like working with 3D and video files when you Photo shop CS3 Extended. For a faster and easier selection process, quickly "paint" a selection over your image with the quick selection tool. Drag your mouse over the area of your image you want to work on, and the quick selection tool automatically expands outward, finding and following defined edges and shapes. Use the refine selection edge menu to improve the quality of the selection edges. You can also use auto align layers. Live trace and live paint can be used together to convert bitmap imagery, such as scanned pencil drawing, to outlined and filled vector imagery. Import the art work you would like to trace and colour.

Advantages of the software

It's a very well designed new interface, when many advance options which include

Selective editing, Burn and saturation tools, Amazing content aware scaling and Interactive brush resizing. These are only a few.

Disadvantages of the software

With all the good points to boast on, there are however some down sides to the software as well such as Technical problems, doesn't allow you to select white balance and No straightening tool.

About the software

Photoshop CS4 has a lot of important new features, the first important change is the user interface. A frame has been added which now contains all open files.

You see one document at a time and can switch to others by clicking their tabs - Multiple documents are displayed in a tabbed array.

You can drag the border to resize your document and panels simultaneously. Anohter new feature is being able to resize the Application Window which preserves the size of the panels while shrinking your document.

The Application Frame includes a new Application Bar, which has buttons for commonly used functions that we use now and here such as Launching a Bridge, Showing Guidelines, Rulers and the Grid, Being able to zoom into the current window, the Hand, Zoom and new Rotate View tools are now also accessible from the Applications Bar. My personal favorite it being able to show the same location in each document with matching zoom levels.
