I was totally thrown back, flabbergasted...I cannot even create a word to define my feelings when I read an article in the Detroit News, online. It was a story about a young mother who was arrested for an alleged attempt to 'sell her daughter' over the Internet. Now as horrible as the topic sounds, you can imagine how horrid the situation is in reality; how crazy is it to want to even imagine involving your child into something so socially incorrect, not to mention anything about morals. I may be getting a bit too opinionated on this subject, and please forgive me, because I may have even more objective opinions later down within the lines.

The article included statements from some officers that were on the case, and quoted them as saying: "disgusting" and shocking."

According to reports, the young mother allegedly made a deal with an undercover detective on the internet, where her 7-year old daughter would have sexual intercourse with a man, while she took pictures; note, that this was stated as the woman was quoted to saying that her main reason was for money. But what about the safety and welfare of her child? I would love to know if a civil suit will be filed against her for the treatment she's giving her children.

Oh yeah, did I fail to mention that this 7-year old girl is not the only child of her mother? Yes, the youngster has three sisters and one brother, ages ranging from 6-12 years of age. Of course reports tell us that the children are all under protective custody; and a investigation would be pending to check if any of the children had ever been molested. This lady had allegedly been conversing with the undercover detectives since December, and as stated earlier, her motive was money.

She had started the conversation with detectives by allegedly prostituting herself, then merged the prospect of her daughter into the conversation and soon, the picture...and I do not state this lightly. The reason I say this, is because this lady was said to have alleged sexual photographs of her daughter that she was also trying to sell. And the article states that the mother posted for sale: her pictures for a low, efficient rate, and sex with the daughter was a bit more. I completely lost it, when I read this part of the article. And to make matters worst, the article states that the young girl had no clue as to what was going on.
