Adopting a Child From an Orphanage

The state of being a parent is called parenthood. Who doesn't want to be a parent? Becoming a father or a mother is such a beautiful feeling which is beyond imagination and explanation. There are many couples who do not have their own child. Due to some medical reason, they cannot have a child. Many such parents had taken a step which is really appreciated all over. The step they took is "adoption". There are many couples who already have their own children yet they adopt a child from orphanage.

Now what does adoption mean? When a person decides to adopt a child, he or she takes the responsibility of raising a child who is not biologically his or her own. In other words we can say that it is an act by which a legal relation of child and parent is created. There could be many reasons for people to adopt a child. In today's society, homosexuality is becoming more and more accepted. In many states, homosexuals can adopt a child like any other married or single adult. In my neighborhood, one homosexual couple has adopted a child. They both are very good and responsible parents. Their son is studying in a very good school and they care a lot of their child. Their life has changed since they have adopted a child. They are a very happy family. I really appreciate their effort.

Eligibility for child adoption is another important factor. Not everyone can adopt a child. There are some parameters which are taken care about before a child is given to anyone. Before adopting a child, one must understand the topics such as, why people adopt, who all can adopt, special adoptions, the overall adoption process, and the post adoption adjustments. People should plan it very wisely. For instance, if I want to adopt a child, the first thing which will come to my mind is that am I responsible enough to take the responsibility of someone else. Will I be able to provide good food, shelter, education, and all other facilities to that child? Do I have enough space in my house to accommodate that child? Will my family members accept that child and give him full love, care and affection? So before going for an adoption, we should consider all these factors.

Even the organizations and the orphanage societies take care of all these factors. They do not give child to anyone or everyone. There are certain parameters, certain conditions which have to be fulfilled by the parents who have come for adoption. Only then they get the child. I think all those people who think that they are capable enough to adopt a child, should do this. As it will save one life and it will save the future of the child. The future of any country is in the hands of young generation. If our young generation will be well educated and self dependent, our country will rise. So it is for the betterment of the orphan children, our society and our country.
