Adrian Peterson Does Not Show Up for Work

Jacob Horn
I love when professional athletes feel like they do not have to show up for work (http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/The_Trenches/entry/view/68671/adrian-peterson-skips-mandatory-camp;-coach-irked). Adrian Peterson was a no show at a mandatory camp and his coach was not to happy about it. Peterson did not even call Brad Childress to tell him he would not be there. This is one reason why I will never feel sorry for any professional athlete. They get paid millions of dollars to have a dream job. I recognize the risks and the hard work they put in but at least call your employer to say "Hey, I am not showing up for work today. I am taking a personal day." Finally, I understand that AP seems to be have a pretty good reputation and that not all athletes are spoiled brats although when all things are considered you cannot really blame them. Let's not get into that. I guess that I am just coming down from the high of the Galaraga (Tiger's pitcher in case I spelled it wrong) moment and I was holding professional atheletes to higher expectations than normal.
