Adult Executioner Halloween Costume

Penny Laine
Halloween is right around the corner and it is time to pick out your costume. I want to present this guide of how to create your own executioner Halloween costume for cheap and it is extremely easy to put together as well. One of the best things about an Executioner costume for Halloween is how few supplies you will need to make your look complete.

Makeup
For men, makeup will not be necessary unless you want to add some blood spots to your face with some lipstick. Women, you may want to try this costume as well so I know that you will not want to go out with your skin bare. You can do your makeup as you normally would, or you could go for a sultrier look to try to make your executioner costume sexier. You should go with a black smoky eye which is explained here, don't be afraid to throw on some candy apple red lipstick also.

Costume Props
Props that you would need to pull off this costume include an executioner's hood and a fake axe. If you are feeling creative you can create your own executioner's hood by visiting a fabric store and getting about a yard of black fabric. All you would need to do to make it into an executioner's hood would be to cut out a couple of eye holes and I think it would look much spookier to create your own hood than it would be to go out and buy one. As for the fake axe, I would buy that at your local store. It's close to Halloween right now so you should easily be able to find one. Bonus points if it has fake blood, you might want to pick up a small bottle while you are out buying your axe.

Clothing
Clothes that you need for this costume include a long black robe, black gloves, black boots, and some studded leather accessories (cuffs or belt) if you would like your costume to look a little more medieval. You could buy a long black robe if you would like, but this is another thing that I feel would be better if you made yourself because I think that it would make it look scarier. While you are at the fabric store buying fabric for your hood, you should pick up 5-6 extra yards of black fabric for your robe. Drape it over you and make it look as messy as possible. I would even sew the edges together with leather cord if you can find some.

Hair
Hair is not going to be any concern for men dressing in this costume, especially because they will be wearing a hood. Women on the other hand will want to look halfway decent despite the hood. I suggest that you wear your hair down under the hood, it will help keep you warm on a chilly Halloween night and it will look better if you decide to take off your hood. You can always put it up later if it gets on your nerves, but I would start out with your hair natural and down.
