Advanced Tips for Playing Heroes on MySpace

How to Build a Strong Heroes Army by Level 15

Paul Bright
If you are reading this, you probably have some experience in playing Heroes on MySpace. Like me, you've probably wondered how someone the same level as you has better and stronger armies than you and carries a boatload of deadly weapons or skills. Regardless of what class you are playing, there are some actions you can take to maximize your guild and increase your money load in leaps and bounds by the time you reach level 15. The following tips can help you get far in Heroes on MySpace.

Increase your Mana. If you haven't already done so, start increasing your Hero's mana to 15. For every level you reach, spend the points on that mana until you hit 15 points! You won't need to get more than that until you reach level 15. The advanced quests like the Elixir of Life and Plague on the City will require more mana. But you'll want to focus on the Elixir of Life quest first since you won't see the Plague on the City quest until later on, which can't be completed with out at least 20 Elixirs. The Plague quest can rake in up to $72,000!

Get A Stable. You'll need a stable to buy one Knight. The Knight will help you gain between $5,000 and $15,000 in the Holy Relic quest which requires 15 mana and at least two others in your guild. Knights are $90,000 a piece with a $200 upkeep cost. So start with step one. Get an empty plains ($5,000) and a stable ($50,000). Even as you wait to build your knight, the stables will provide you some hourly income. Nothin' like makin' money on Heroes for Myspace when you aren't even playing!

Recruit Two More Guild members and Buy Swordsmen. Once you have your knight, focus on getting two swordsmen ($40,000 and $50 upkeep) and at least two guild members. Once you have both of those in place you should alternate completing the Elixir of Life and the Holy Relic Quests until you get an opening for the Plague quest. Once that happens, increase your mana to 18 at your next chance and then start focusing on the Elixir/Plague combination.

Focus on higher-level quests and spend wisely. You may be tempted to go for the 1 and 3-level quests as you amass mana in Heroes. Save up for the Holy Relic and don't waste time on those lower-level ones. After every quest, only keep as much spending money as you need on your person and dump the rest in the vault. When people on Heroes battle you off line and you lose, they take from your pot. Don't give them anything to take and keep money on your person only when you are on line. You'll know how much you need by looking at the next step.

Consolidate Your Weapons. Remember that for any battle on Heroes you can bring one weapon, one spell and one army per member in your guild. As you build money from quests, focus on upgrading your weapons to the highest ones per guild member by selling off the cheap ones (short sword, staff). Be sure to have a few chain mails for defense against people who attack you offline. If you win those battles you gain experience-and you aren't even playing Heroes! Next, build on your spells. Have at least one militia but your armies can wait until you get enough for knights.

Battle Low-guild Heroes. Battling can reap great rewards for experience, but it doesn't always pay off monetarily, especially if you consistently lose. Battling isn't the best way to earn money but sometimes you can get lucky and win a huge pot off of one battle. Your best bet for Heroes on Myspace is to battle people with low-guild numbers. If you have a guild of 7 people, don't put your armies against Heroes with more than 10. You increase your chances of winning, which increases your experience points. And even if you have the stamina, don't push your battles to where you have to use vault money for healing. You're still trying to amass a Hero's fortune!

Plague Time. Once you've raised enough money to have the two knights, reexamine your armies and consolidate even further. If you don't already have the Plague quest showing, alternate quests between the Elixir quest and the highest money-maker, making sure you put whatever money you aren't using immediately into the vault. You can even buy additional land to make you more money for the future. Be sure that if you add on a higher spell or weapon beyond your maximum guild number in Heroes you sell the lower-level ones until you reach the proper proportions. Once the Plague quest becomes available, use that as your main moneymaker.
