Forced air heating systems have a lot of disadvantages to them, one being that it does not evenly heat the house. Certain rooms in the house where there is more of a draft will create less heat than rooms in your house where it is not as drafty. This uneven heating in your house might make some rooms really hot while other rooms in your house might not even feel like there is heat entering the room. This is also a bad thing because it might cause problems with other people in your house being too hot or too cold during the winter. The forced air heating system might also not be the best choice for you because of noise, when the vent is turned on and the fan is running you will hear a constant noise being emitted from the vents, which can be annoying if you are not used to it. The forced air heating system also creates pollen, dust, and allergen molecules because it takes the air from inside and brings it in. If you are someone that has allergies or someone in your house has allergies, then the forced air system might not be a good idea because it will generate the pollen and dust and bring it right inside your room through the vents, especially if the vents are located on the floor. Vents that are located on the floor generally seem to create more pollen and dust due to the fact they are the most likely to get dirty and also the floor collects more dust than the ceiling. In this economy, the forced air heating system might not be the most economical due to the fact you use a thermostat to control the temperature. Using a thermostat to control the temperature means if you have a bigger house, the thermostat is going to run more often than if you are in a smaller space. Along with the fact the thermostat will run more, it will also cause the whole house to heat up rather than specific rooms, so if you do not use every room in your house this can be considered wasting the heat because it is going everywhere not just where you want the heat to go.
The advantages of having a forced air heating system in your home this winter, are not many although this is the most common type of heating system found in homes. If you have a lot of people in your house, or you use most of your rooms in your house then this heating system might be what you need. The forced air heating system uses vents to move heat in every room of your house, which means you will not have to worry about turning individual heaters on in certain rooms to keep them warm. The forced air heating system is great for people who like not having to worry about little electric heaters or worry about the possible fires that can happen because of them. Overall, the forced air heating system is a lot safer than the other types of heating systems used by people, both with electrical hazards and you do not have to worry about burning yourself like you would if you used a small space heater. Space heaters and kerosene heaters can be very dangerous if you leave them on too long, or if you have children which is why the forced air heating system might also be better for your home. Also, you control the temperature with a thermostat and that gives you access to control how hot and cold your whole house is, and you will not have to worry about the temperature dropping below your desired heat because the heating system will kick on automatically. The forced air heating system is also good for people who are always on the go, no worries about fires or turning something on and off because the forced air heating system automatically turns on and off and ensures that your home is heating safely. Overall, the forced air heating system is not that bad idea for people looking to heat their homes, as it is the most common heating system in homes. The forced air heating system works pretty much on its own and the only thing you need to do with it is turn the temperature where you want it at, and clean the vents every now and then and you should be good to go.
