Adventure Dating, an Extreme Encounter

Traditionally the typical date would consist of a strapping young suitor going to pick up his lovely date at the door, and proceeding whisk her off to some picturesque first date that will never be forgotten. Times change, and so has the dating scene. The rules of tradition are a thing of the past, and the worlds of Internet and speed dating have taken over.

We live in a society of fast paced, thrill seeking people who strive to bring that attitude to the dating scene. Adventure dating is all about meeting someone special while in search of an intense getaway experience. Adventure dating could include a mountain biking trek with a group of people, of which there may be a few possible personality connections; or another example would be a white water rafting expedition with numerous possible singles who could find a spark together.

The beauty of this type of dating that pushes boundaries is that even if you do not find a person who is a match during your outing or multi-day adventure, then you are still able to enjoy your extreme hobbies and walk away with a rewarding trip.

Adventure Dating has recently even made its way to everyday travel. There is a company called AirTroductions, and what this company does is make connections for people whilst they travel. These connections can be friendly, or an extreme method of meeting someone new.

We have all had that chatty person next to us on the plane, so why not sit next to someone who you may take a fancy to. Adventure Passions is another nifty site for people who are the "anti-couch potato" sort, and who strive to take their next date to the edge and bungee jump, or into the clouds and sky dive. This site unites passionate adventure seekers so that they may take their dating beyond just the typical dinner and movie.

Fox News featured a surprising review that in the last few years this type of dating has picked up because people are tired of the ordinary. A woman from the fox news feature on Adventure dating said "Adventure dating isn't just great for meeting for someone special - it's also good for fanning the flames of love." If your lucky enough to live in New Zealand then they have a great site and club of organized singles that adventure date. Adventure Date even welcomes out of the country guests to join in on their activities, which feature golfing, cruises, hot air ballooning, sea side horse treks, and tree adventures.

The most rewarding thing about coming away from any dating adventure is to enjoy the trip and encounter lots new and unique people. Perhaps escaping the ordinary may lead to finding someone extraordinary.

Interesting, I didn't know this sort of a thing existed!
