AFC/NFC Championship Predictions: Chargers Do Lights-Out Dance at MidField

On Way to Super Bowl After 38-31 Win

Call it crazy, call it stupid, or call it a hunch but its going to happen. Why? Eh, who knows the best explanation is "its not supposed to therefore it will". Tomlinson? Hurt. Rivers? Hurt. Gates? Hurt. Volek? Yikes! Turner? Man-child and will get paid some big bucks in the off-season but he's still no L.T.

On the flipside same ol' song and dance. Team never loses, averages a gabillion points a game, their 53 man roster is all going to the pro-bowl, hoodie is the John Wooden of football, Tom Brady is a stud, he's a class act, never gets upset, never oversteps his boundaries. Randy Moss, model citizen for the state of Massachusetts, does his hair himself, runs routes with precision, can't be stopped. Wes Welker, never talks, never drops a pass under 3 yards, Brady's real #1 guy, misses Iowa. Harrison, most considerate athlete in the game, never talks trash, never boasts, gets upset with Seau if he does, can copy a dance like no other. Gillette Stadium, awesome fans, best snow crew in the game, enough electricity to make one side of the field feel like its 70 degrees.

Yes, I know this isn't my normal all inspiring matchup with stats galore article and a lot of that has to do with getting this out to anyone that even remotely uses my pro picks to make any money. Although this year you would have made all kinds of lute so far, but I know I haven't been perfect losing the Jax/Pitt game, and the Indy/S.D. game although I had S.D. covering. So I guess its just how you look at it.

Anyways, I'm ready for all the little snickers and bashing that is going to go on as soon as I'm done writing this article. Especially if I'm wrong here, but I still don't think I am. We will see!

San Diego 38 New England 31

Hoodie, watch out brother Norv is going to do a little dipsy do dunkaroo of his own. First 12 plays will look like this: L.T. screen 4 yards, Vincent Jackson WR screen 2 yards, Chris Chambers 5 yard curl, L.T. screen 7 yards, Gates screen 3 yards, Vincent Jackson screen 2 yards, L.T. screen 10 yards, Vincent Jackson 4 yard curl, Vincent Jackson 4 yard curl, Vincent Jackson 4 yard curl, Vincent Jackson 2 yard curl, Chris Chambers 21 yard touchdown pass down the right sideline.

Wait a sec, thats New England's offense.

OH!

Eli Manning has 4 interceptions - Green Bay 27 Giants 13

HOLLA!!!!

hahaha, yea you know as an ex-gambler I remember the days of doing so good on the first weeks of games and then losing it all back with the upset game. Although this year I technically would have split these games with NE favored by 14 and winning by 9 so not to to bad :)

lol, no kidding. Oh well, until someone pays me to handicap, I think I'll have more fun just guessing. Chargers would have covered though :)

Michael, you can't be right without going out on a limb once in a while. That old adage "Any given Sunday" got started somewhere you know. As a Pats fan, I hope you wrong, but I'll give you credit for putting it out there. Nicely done.

I picked the Chargers too. But for me, it's probably an emotional thing. Watch our former Oregon Duck Igor!
