Affairs: Beware of the Fourth Angle

If you have a good wife and are relatively happy with her, but still ambitious of having an affair, think twice. There are damn urgent reasons why you should do so.

Normal dangers to having extra marital affairs include the spouse finding out, stress related symptoms of maintaining two expense accounts and for undergoing blackmailing or undue demands by the illicit lover, a sudden betrayal and so on.

Now there is an added danger, and a most potent one.

The camera opens onto a residential building entrance. The wronged wife enters and marches ahead accompanied by maybe the operation leader or the camera attendant or the wife's well wisher. The wife then selects a particular apartment and bangs on the closed door with camera following. There is no response. The attendant joins in and cracks the door with mighty hits. The wife gets into the flat through the crack camera following.

Cut to the insides. The wrongdoer husband is pinned against the wall with the wife molesting his contorted face. Suddenly several 'helpers' appear out of nowhere, the camera doing no favors of establishing the characters of the story. Handing over her tormentor to other caretakers the wife now attacks the lover girl.

The camera takes in the details lovingly. The girl is woman handled, punched and even her dress is torn apart. The girl crouches down on the floor to save her insult from the relentless camera. Here, the most unexpected happens. A pair of hands puts a blanket over her bare legs and thus prevents the camera to take more candid views. In the meantime the husband is getting his due share of blows, pinching and pushes.

This particular sting or investigative or slang or reformist or morale boosting story was aired repeatedly on a leading Indian news channel who claims itself to be the best. That was unique and path breaking. That was entering into a most lucrative territory with immense possibilities. That was tremendous solace for all twenty four hour news channels who have been finding it extremely difficult to have good revenue yielding good time pass stories.

But this is extreme bad news for all existing and would be paramours. Now they would not know when where and how it might strike them.
