What people think of you is none of your business. [unknown]
Compliments, you probably get more of them than you realize.
Don't rely on them, but don't ignore them either.
Contradictions, you'll make a lot of them when your mind is open.
True confidence comes from within one's own spirit.
Be mindful. Know what's getting into your head and let go of unproductive
beliefs about yourself and the world around you. This also means never
speaking without thinking first and don't do anything while unaware.
Watch out for thought traps. Don't let those same old negative tapes play.
Someone else's lies do not reflect you. An individual's intelligence can not be
fairly measured by their willingness to believe. An honest person isn't walking
through life expecting to be lied to. Stop punishing yourself for the deceptive
nature of another. Being naive, what is it? It may be naive to trust a stranger.
If a loved one or a friend decieves you, they are the one with the problem.
Learn to take a joke. First, you need to know the difference between comedy
and cruelty. Comics assume responsibility when a joke is taken out of context.
If someone is argumentative, stop arguing with them.
Love doesn't equal control. It's also not possible without genuine concern.
Intelligence is not as important as kindness and it's not very smart to derive
pleasure out of someone else's suffering.
Combat greed by remembering if two people want the same thing, one person's
desire and need is not greater than the other.
The biggest mistake most people make when giving unwanted advice
stems from a lack of knowledge concerning the person they're advising and this
may apply to relatives too.
