The Affliction Clothing line burst onto the scene in 2005. It seemed that almost overnight the boldly designed shirts were being seen on not only celebrities but on performers like Criss Angel and Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) fighters like Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture. With the appeal these individuals have with the 16 to 40 year old crowd you can imagine what happened. Affliction Shirts were popping up everywhere. Not just on teenagers, but often time the teenager's parents!
As you can well imagine the demand for Affliction Clothing with its interesting, unique, and often dark designs has begun to skyrocket. Anytime you get a product, such as the Affliction Clothing line, that takes off this quickly you usually end up with two things. One is a price that is usually higher than a similar garment, and two, you will begin to see counterfeit products surface.
The Affliction line consists of Jeans, Shirts, Jackets, Boots, Caps, and Accessories. The jeans seem to be the items that are most often counterfeited. With that in mind, here are some things to look for when looking for Affliction Jeans to insure you are not only getting the best deal but to insure you are getting the "real deal".
All Affliction Jeans are made in the United States. Therefore they are shipped from the USA.
The Affliction logo found on the inside back of the jeans is embroidered, not screened. The color of the logo usually (but not always) matches the color of the stitching in the jeans. If the stitching is blue then the logo will be blue. If the stitching is red then the logo will be red.
Affliction jeans come with a metal dog tag necklace pendent on a black string.
The string is like a shoe string that resembles leather.
Affliction price tag cards are embossed with gold foil (for denim killers) and red foil for "Red Label Premium". The fakes have a black and white printed card.
Affliction Jackets and Affliction Boots are made in China.
You can get genuine Affliction Clothing on Ebay. Just be sure you are getting the real deal.
You can find the real deal in Affliction Clothing at AfflictionClothingAuctions.com.
