First of all, you can't beat their rates. The resort offers a wide variety of amenities and still is able to keep their rates affordable. We were looking for a 7 night stay in September, and our rate was only $426 plus tax. Compared to other resorts in the area with comparible amenities, this was by far the best deal we were able to find. To reserve your room, you simply have to put a deposit of one night down at the time of the reservation.
The resort offers a variety of room types to suit almost any need. The rooms can accomdate up to 6 people comfortably. If you need additional space, you might choose to rent one of their on-site cottages. The cottages have 2-4 bedrooms and can accomodate a larger amount of people. The rooms have queen sized beds, bathrooms, microwaves and refrigerators. The downside is that there was not a kitchen in our room, so cooking in the room itself was limited. However, some of the rooms do have full kitchens. The rooms were clean and inviting.
There is a waterpark onsite at the resort. Three large waterslides showcase the waterpark and are fun for the entire family! There is also a large swimming pool, children's activity pool with a slide and a mushroom fountain and hot tub for relaxation. An arcade, playground and duck pond are also onsite for guests to enjoy. Discount golf packages are also available at over 125 courses for the golf lover in the family! Ask about the packages available at the front desk or when making reservations to the resort.
The staff at the resort were very helpful and accomdating. Our needs were met and you can tell that the staff goes out of their way to provide great hospitality to their guests. I am sure they would be just as welcoming to any family that chooses to stay at the resort.
The negative side of the hotel is that they are located across the street from the ocean. You do have to cross the street to get down to the shore. Because we have small kids, this became quite tiresome. However, if you don't mind being across the street and not having the ocean at your doorstep then the savings are well worth it.
You can call the resort at (888) 839-4330 or look them up online at www.affordablefamilyresort.com
