Affordable Gift Bag for Friends at the Senior Center or Adult Daycare

Bernadette
Someone going to a senior center or adult daycare might want to give a gift to a friend or friends at the senior center or adult daycare. This article will give you some ideas on how to create an affordable gift bag to give for a holiday, a birthday, etc.

The cost of each gift bag varies, so hopefully you will be able to keep within your budget as you create your gift bag.

Knitting or Crocheting Gift Bag

If the gift recipient likes to knit or crochet, this is a good gift idea. You can purchase several skeins of yarn and place them in a tote bag. The tote bag can be used to hold the gift recipient's yarn as they knit or crochet, or perhaps it can be used as a place to store an unfinished project when they are not knitting or crocheting.

Photo Gift Bag

If your friend enjoys taking photos, this is a nice gift idea. You can buy one or two disposable cameras, along with a mini photo album and perhaps a gift card to a nearby store that will develop the photos taken with the disposable camera. Many discount department stores offer photo developing.

Bingo Gift Bag

A bingo gift bag is a thoughtful gift idea for the gift recipient who likes to play bingo. You might want to include a bingo marker or two and some bingo chips. Bingo markers and bingo chips in the recipient's favorite colors are nice ideas. A container to store the bingo chips would also be a nice item to include in the gift bag. Some options include a zippered cosmetic bag for a woman, a zippered pencil case for a man, or a plastic container such as a food storage container.

Writing Gift Bag

If the person on your gift-giving list likes to write letters, this gift bag would be a good idea.

You can purchase a box of stationery or notepaper, some postage stamps, and perhaps some decorative stickers to place on the envelope flap.

After you have bought all of the gifts you wish to include in your gift bag, you can choose whether or not to individually wrap each gift before you place it into the gift bag. Hope that the gift recipient enjoys receiving the gift bag you prepared for them.
