Affordable Luxury at the Grand Mayan Los Cabos Wyndham Alliance Resort in Mexico
Put Your Feet Up and Enjoy the Los Cabos Sun
Two gigantic Mayan gods are ready to welcome you to your reasonably priced resort that in no way skimps on elegance and where everything is top of the line but still keeps an air of family friendliness.
Moving into the lobby from the pitch black entrance you will find it filled with light and eclectic furnishings. The tables are reminiscent t of polished tree stumps and there are giant chandeliers and funky iron lamps with glass hearts that look as if they have just jumped out of a Kahlo painting.
All of the main areas of the Hotel, including the terrace which spills out of the lobby, are stylish and comfortable. The billiard room has wonderful giant leather chairs, billowing drapes and blood red lamps which provide a chic atmosphere to an intimate room.
The swimming pool has to be seen to be believed. Here the Mayan god motif has been tied together with two gigantic serpent heads that spew out water onto the main pool. You can relax around the pool on lounge chairs with beach umbrellas and canopied day beds.
There is also a Brio spa which has been decorated in tans and oranges and features a couples section for those lovebirds.
One of the great benefits of a stay at The Grand Mayan is the fact that even when fully booked you never know. There is so much space that you will never feel crowded.
The guest rooms here at The Grand Mayan are warm, welcoming, colorful and functional. The rooms are all spacious so even if 4 people are sharing they will feel comfortable.
The grand Mayan's family rooms have very comfortable sofa beds and there are televisions in both the family room and the main bedroom. You will find a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances right down to a blender for those fruity drinks that are so popular.
The Bedroom again is large with another sofa bed plus the luxury of a Jacuzzi tub which connects the bedroom to the bathroom.
Some of the suites offered by The Grand Mayan have plunge pools in their large balconies.
The newest feature offered are the You and Me suites which are designed especially for newlyweds or couples looking for a bit extra romance. These boast ocean views and candles to set the mood.
The Grand Mayan Los Cabos is situated at the entrance of the San Jose del Cabo and is steps away from the Sea of Cortez. Although the sea can be choppy the beach is great for early morning walking.
There are two restaurants at this hotel; The grand café where guests can enjoy a generous breakfast buffet and a vast dinner menu and the Peri Q which is right by the pool and serves wonderful frozen margaritas and seafood dishes and Mediterranean specialties. Should you not wish to go to a restaurant The Grand Mayan Cabos has round the clock full room service.
Rates at The Grand Mayan los Cabos start at $319 per room, per night for up to four guests.
