This year I went to two different weddings that incorporated their American pride in their wedding in a distinctive and classy way. Whether you are having a patriotic wedding because either you or your spouse serve in the military or you just want to show your support of the American troops, these patriotic wedding favors are all affordable wedding favors that will really be a big hit at your wedding.

A donation to a patriotic American organization is a thoughtful and meaningful wedding favor your guests will cherish. The key to this patriotic wedding favor is to first choose a great organization to donate to. The American Red Cross is a perfect choice. Second, donate money in the names of each of your guests that have rsvp to your wedding. Most organizations will give you a thank you card with the name of the people who the donating was made in honor of. You will need to contact you local military offices to acquire names as well as mailing information so that you can be sure the thank you notes will reach the troops.

A more traditional, simple, and affordable patriotic wedding favor can be easily made out of those great little clear candy bags and patriotic ribbon. Fill the bags with the candy of your choice and tie them shut with a red, white, and blue ribbon. You could also fold the bag shut and seal it with an American Flag sticker. For an added classy touch you could fold a red, white and blue ribbon and pin it to the bag of candy with an American Flag Pin. Another version of this patriotic wedding favor could be made out of a small white box. Fill it with four little wrapped chocolates. Tie the box shut with patriotic ribbon. To eliminate the need to tie bows on all of you wedding favors you could loop the patriotic ribbon around and seal it shut with a classy gold sticker.

For a slightly more expensive patriotic wedding favor you could give you guests American flags that attach to the windows of their cars. This would look fabulous and really make a patriotic statement if you ask all of your guest's to place the American flag in their car windows as they leave the reception. American flag car magnets and "We Support Our Troops" magnetic also make a great patriotic wedding favor. These can be found everywhere. Literally everywhere. By them online at sites like ttp://www.christianconservativeclothing.com/contact.htm and part of the proceeds go to charity. Their specific charity is the American Diabetes Association. To make this patriotic wedding favor more special insert it into a clear plastic bag, like you might use for candy wedding favors. Insert a note along with it letting your wedding guests know that part of the proceeds went to a charity. Finish it off by tying the bag shut with a gold ribbon.
