Affordable Prom Dress Shopping in Albuquerque

Marilyn Quinn
Whether you pride yourself on being thrifty, revel in finding a bargain or need to spend sparingly because of finances; you can find prom dresses in Albuquerque that are fashionable and affordable. We have reviewed four different stores around the city to shop for bargain priced prom fashions, jewelry, shoes and accessories.

Ross tops our list of stores to go to first. You can truly hunt for a great bargain here. You can save 20 to 60% off of regular department store prices at Ross. Part of the fun of shopping there is browsing through the racks to see what you can find. You won't always find the same dress in multiple sizes, but you will find some really great bargains on designer labels. My last trip there, I saw prom appropriate dresses starting in the price range of $25 dollars and up. Visit the Ross website for store locations.

Kohl's is another great destination in Albuquerque for your prom needs. Kohl's is a one-stop shop for your prom apparel and accessories. They have jewelry, handbags and shoes; as well as a large selection of prom dresses in many styles. Dresses start around $34 and are still reasonable priced on the highest end at under $100. Visit the Kohl's website for locations and online exclusives.

Ann Matthews is a local special occasion store where you can purchase a prom dress at a reasonable price for comparable dresses. Sale prices start around a hundred dollars with regular prices ranging from $169 to around $500. You will find the more traditional style of prom dress here. Be aware though that the store has a policy that all items purchased there are non-refundable or exchangeable. Visit the stores website for directions and hours.

Our last recommendation for finding affordable prom dresses in Albuquerque is Hot Topic. This is definitely not your traditional venue for prom dresses but we know that teenagers, proms and styles are evolving. Gone are the days when all females in attendance wore floor-length formals in all colors of pastels. Sometimes you just want to show off your edgy goth style or do something a little more non-traditional. Hot Topic is the place to do that. You can visit one of the Albuquerque stores or see the website for online exclusives. Pricing is generally less than $100 and in some cases, very much less.
