Written by Marcus Samuelsson this cookbook boasts 204 recipes. If you're looking for exquisite and challenging flavors you will be happy to find lots of those in this book. You will find recipes for spice blends, salads, sauces, desserts, sandwiches, vegetables, poultry, meat and much more. The book contains hundreds of color photos though some of them don't seem to match the dishes at all.

The African Kitchen: A Day in the Life of a Safari Chef

Exotic African cuisines don't have to be a pain to prepare. Most the recipes in this book are simple and easy enough for a beginner to make. Even if you're not planning on cooking anything just by looking at the pictures in the book will surely make you want to go to the kitchen and try the recipes. Truthfully this is more than just a cookbook. Josie Stow (the author) and Jan Baldwin (author & photographer) did an excellent job with the book. The color photos in it are fun to stare at and they give plenty of insights of the life in Africa and also about the fun of African safari.

70 Traditional African Recipes: Authentic classic dishes from all over Africa adapted for the western kitchen

Sometimes simple recipes are not simple enough to follow. This is where this cookbook comes to the rescue. This colorful cookbook written by Rosamund Grant gives the reader step-by-step graphic instructions that even the most novice chef can follow. And since the recipes are adapted for the western kitchen finding the ingredients is just as simple as visiting the nearest grocery store.

A Taste of Africa

The author, Dorinda Hafner, is a well-known face when it comes to African cuisine. She often host and featured in cooking shows in television. Her book, A Taste of Africa divides the recipes by countries; Ivory Coast, Ghana; Morocco; Mali; Ethiopia; Egypt; Tanzania; Kenya; Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Most of the recipes are easy and quick ones so it is an excellent cookbook for novices (though experts will surely appreciate it too).
