Dark stormy night now past,
Daybreak arrives at last;
Fresh fallen snow all around.
The cold new day's first light
Reveals a shroud of white
Now blankets the frozen ground.
First snowfall of the year
Declares: "Winter is here"
In our small New England town.

Snow is wonderful if you don't need to travel through it! We got our first snowfall last year late Christmas Eve; It was a beautiful White Christmas morn!
