AfterBurner Climax for Xbox 360 Video Game Review

SDR2010
In 2008 I decided to stop playing video games because I was growing tired of my Nintendo Wii and there were not many games that I enjoyed available for the Playstation 3 and since I was tired of playing games that required a ton of body motion and had very little excitement for the large amount of effort that I put into the game I decided that I would stop playing video games altogether and did not use my Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii console again. I have been a fan of vintage games for some time now and I have always enjoyed playing games that reinvent a concept that was first tried on an old video game system. Being that I love video games that have been redone I was very interested in playing AfterBurner Climax when a friend of mine told me that they had it available at his job. He works at Blockbuster and I could not pass up the chance to play AfterBurner Climax because I was interested in seeing if the game is as good as it was on Sega when it was named AfterBurner. AfterBurner Climax is essentially the same game as it was on the Sega console but the graphics have been redesigned and it looks amazing.

I played the version for the Xbox 360 and the concept of the game is essentially that you are a pilot flying through 15 different courses and your objective is to destroy all the enemy planes with missiles before they destroy you with their weapons. Once you destroy all the enemies in each area you will advance to the next board and continue the game. You can switch between a view through the eyes of the aircraft or an overview of yourself flying the craft from the outside. The control stick allows you to perform tricks and flips within the plain in the air in order to show off or avoid enemy fire. What I love about the game is the courses are a lot of fun to fly and the game doesn't get repetitive. I love the team that speaks to you from the cockpit and the ability to design and create your own customer aircraft to fly the missions. There is also a vast online community feature that is exclusive to Xbox 360 and it allows you to play with your friends around the world on the same course in order to complete objectives of destruction.
