Against the Swine Flu Vaccine

Opinion About the Swine Flu Vaccine/Side Effects

Kyishia Boyd
Almost everyone in the U.S. have their opinions about this deadly disease that's sweeping the nation. Some are getting sick and suffering from severe injuries; while others are lying on their death beds. The vaccines are given at many health facilities or either at local pharmacies at no cost. But 25-year old NFL cheerleader Desiree Jennings did not know that it would cost her to lose out on everything life had to offer. She was training to be a professional cheerleader. Now her dream has come to a halt. She was diagnosed with a rather rare disorder known as "dystonia", ten days after receiving the vaccine. It's not fair that someone had to suffer all because she thought getting the vaccine would prevent her from getting sick.

1976 Swine Flu Vaccine

Back in the year of 1976, the swine flu took affected and damaged many people lives. Millions of people were treated for the virus. After being treated for the illness it led to 12 deaths and at least 400 people were paralyzed from a disorder known as "Guillain-Barre" syndrome. Even though time has changed since the late 1900s, the impact that the vaccination made on the United States has not changed very much. There are still others that have to get vaccinated so hopefully in the near future less people will be affected.

Tamiflu/Squalene

Some people may not know how dangerous the flu shot called "Tamiflu" can be harmful to their children. The vaccine is very likely to cause unusual behavior or brain defects after the shots are given. In Japan, some kids have died or gained psychiatric problems. It is proved that the vaccines may be worse than just getting the actual swine flu. An ingredient known as "Squalene" is found in the vaccine. It is believed to be associated with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson disease, and Alzheimer's disease. There are other methods that can prevent you from getting the virus; such as higher dosages of vitamin D3, taking multivitamins daily, and maintaining a good diet.

Being the oldest sister of younger siblings; as well as a single parent of an infant; I believe that getting the swine flu shot is very dangerous and me and my family will not be getting it. We will not take the risk of possible death or being scarred for the rest of our lives. I am not trying to discourage anyone into not getting the shot but, to keep in mind that it not only can affect your health but also your life.
