Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer Game Review

Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer is a video game that I have enjoyed for three months now and I play it on a daily basis. It is an expansion pack for the Age Of Conan video game and I purchased this video game for Windows XP at my local Best Buy for $42.38 with tax. It also works with Windows Vista, which is nice because it allows me to have friends try the software on their machine to see if they like it. This is a video game that places you in the world on Conan. This is done through the creation of a character and you select his gender, culture and class and you will see the character develop into someone before your eyes. The new features in this expansion pack include the levels to choose from for each character.

The story is new and the setting of the story is also new to this game. The worlds are very well developed and nicely detailed and this creates an experience that the player will believe is real. The graphics on this game are also improved greatly and this changes every aspect of the game. You can see the texture of your characters hair and his face begins to age, as he gets deeper into battle. This is essentially a role-playing game that requires you to follow along the plot of the story in order to head where you are told. You have interactions with characters along your path and they determine where you head next within the game. The nice thing about this is that each interaction has a unique audio for that specific interaction. You can hear the words spoken and you can respond. You are given the ability to choose how he responds, you can choose a positive or negative response and this will shape how the game plays out in the future. The interactions between characters feels very real and I like that you can change the outcome of the game based on your reaction to others.

This game is much like World Of Warcraft because it has a vast online player community that you will join to play the game. This means that the game has a lot of replay value because you are able to go online and battle with other players. Combat is interactive and very detailed so I suggest this only for adults, but the online play makes this a great game to own with amazing graphics.
